Anabezi Luxury Camp

Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

Property Description

Anabezi is a 24 bed camp located on the banks of the Zambezi River at the Lower end of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia.

The name Anabezi is derived from the camp being situated on the Zambezi River and the many Ana Trees or Winter Thorns (Faidherbia albida) that surround the camp. These winter thorns drop corn yellow pods which attract a wide variety of animals to the area including many elephants, a welcome sight in the camp.

Anabezi Camp comprises of 2 common areas and 12 luxury spacious tents on raised timber platforms at the edge of a ridge, providing magnificent views of both the Zambezi River and Mushika River flood plain. The plain hosts year-round grazing and offers spectacular diverse game viewing from the comfort of your tent!

The 2 common areas, the Zambezi Deck and Mushika Deck, offer an opportunity to occupy the Mushika Deck exclusively with private staff. All luxury tents are equal in size and décor and each common area boasts a swimming pool, viewing deck, lounges, bar and dining area.

    "Wild & Isle Review"
Flying into the Zambezi Valley is wonderful in itself! The mighty river carves an impressive path through the forests and bush that carries on for as far as the eye can see. Anabezi luxury tented camp is situated in, and named after, the incredible Ana (Winterthorn) tree and forest that surround the area. Concentrated wildlife makes use of these forests and river allowing for perfect photography lighting and idyllic scenes of the beauty that is Africa. Leopard is very prevelant in these forests. Anabezi camp is made up of large, spacious, luxury tents with private plunge pools, outdoor showers and views onto the river. The people who live and work at Anabezi are fantastic and there is a great feel of comraderie all around the camp. The lodge is tastefully decorated, meals are great and the fishing fantastic. For a slightly more private camping experience Amanzi which is situated on one of the Zambezi’s tributaries, would definitely be your best option.
