Camp Hwange

Hwange National Park

    Property Description

Camp Hwange is a Classic Safari Camp situated in its own private concession deep in the Sinamatella area, situated in the north part of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.

The first thing that will strike you about Camp Hwange is its beautiful setting. All of the rooms in Camp Hwange open up onto a waterhole which is fairly open, so that you can see the animals sauntering down to it. The lodge itself is very tastefully decorated, with a great use of colours, and the rooms are comfortable, open and attractive.

What really sets the camp apart for us was the high level of guiding that comes with Camp Hwange. The knowledge and people skills of these rangers are brilliant! It completely enhances the entire experience. They effortlessly pander to all the guests’ needs. Guests are blown away by the magnitude of nature and wildlife surrounding them.

Camp Hwange is situated in a great game viewing region of the park ensuring regular close proximity to the abundant wildlife. This camp comes highly recommended. If you are interested in learning more about the day to day adventures within the camp, we have two of the Camp Hwange rangers that are writing articles for us in our blog.

      "Outstanding Experience"
I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Camp Hwange. The location, amenities, management, staff and guides were outstanding. Our game drives and walks were fabulous. We saw so much wildlife. Our guides, Washington and Kevin, were so knowledgeable and loved sharing their knowledge. They were just as excited about tracking, finding, and watching animals as we were. We absolutely loved the atmosphere of the camp. All meals were served family-style, not only with other guests, but also with the management and guides. The food was definitely of five-star quality. At night, everyone would unwind around the fire enjoying the tranquility of the camp. Camp Hwange is definitely a must-stay camp if you are planning a safari in Zimbabwe.

    • "June 2018"
This was the first safari for everyone in the family. All of the guides were fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly and did their best to make us feel comfortable. We did a few walks which was a nice change from riding in the open air vehicle. It’s a little chill June mornings but they had warm parkas available. The facilities were immaculate and service was great. There is a natural watering hole that the camp is situated around and some wildlife did come around camp. Our family is not the pickiest about food but it was excellent. It was not the busy season when we went so for 1+ day we had the camp to ourselves. Overall, an outstanding experience!
