"Taking part in boating activities, such as a sunset cruise or an afternoon’s fishing, is highly recommended. Management is extremely helpful!"
Due to the hot and humid coastal conditions of the Selous, Roho Ya Selous (or the soul of the Selous) is open planned yet extremely tastefully done. A great feature of the rooms is the fact that you can sleep with the canvas open and on a clear night you can gaze into the outlaying bush area before drifting off to sleep. Taking part in boating activities, such as a sunset cruise or an afternoon’s fishing, is highly recommended. Management is extremely helpful, funny and engaging as are all other members of staff. What is great about Roho is that, if you like, a much more raw/hands on experience can be had if you like to get your hands, and feet a little dirty. It is a very “well rounded” safari experience and very highly recommended for those who like to tick off more than the Big 5.
