    "Wild & Isle Review"
As the name of The Hide suggests, the use of an underground man-made hide forms an integral part of the camp’s dynamic and it definitely delivers! While visiting The Hide we had just returned from sundowners with Daffy, one of the rangers, when we noticed a bull elephant arriving to drink at the waterhole in front of the lodge. I grabbed Paul we headed down through The Hide’s ironclade door, along its underground tunnel and popped out literally at the bull’s feet. Quietly we sat there while peacefully listening to him drinking and his stomach rumblings for 10 minutes until a breeding herd sauntered down to drink on the other side of the waterhole. What a truly unforgetable sight! Patience in the bush is the name of the game and within half an hour we were literally surrounded by pachyderms. I could, in all honesty, reach out of The Hide and grab two or three elephants by the feet (not advisable)! I think this story perfectly summarises what camp and concession is about. The Hide is about The Hide. The luxury tents are large, private and opulent. A great feature at The Hide is the outside bath. Wildlife is all around you, even within The Hide Camp. There is a resident elephant that calls the forest, in which The Hide is situated, his home. As with all Zimbabwean camps, guiding is of a great quality and will make sure you have incredible experiences with their drive and walk policies.
