About Zambezi Sands River Lodge
Strung along the banks of the magnificent Zambezi River, within the Zambezi National Park, the Zambezi Sands River Camp commands exquisite vistas from raised decks. 10 bedouin-style luxury tents are spacious, well-appointed, light and airy. Each opens up to private decks with splash pools – the ideal place to unwind whilst watching the slow passage of the mighty river as it flows by. 2 of the tents have an interleading walkway, ideal for families. Canvas central areas and large decks provide comfortable spaces to socialise and dine in unpretentious style. Exciting game drives and game walks are conducted through the reserve. A laid-back riverside ambiance and activities such as canoeing, fishing and island picnics enhance the overall experience. Enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls rain forest (park fees not included) and a visit to the Victoria Falls curio market. Cruise on the river, amongst the islands near the lodge, watching the sunset.
About Kanga Camp
An explorer’s paradise within the Mana Pools World Heritage Site, Kanga Camp nestles alongside a seasonal pan in a private concession, 15 kms from the Zambezi River. The camp overlooks the area’s only year-round water source available, and during the dry months, this is a busy hub, providing excellent “armchair” game viewing. Kanga offers a rich, African safari experience in a remote, unspoilt location. 4 Meru-style tents and 2 honeymoon/family units afford attractive accommodation with a classic “Out of Africa” ambiance and outdoor bathrooms. Ideal for quiet moments of tranquillity, private verandahs command picturesque vistas over the pan. A main lounge and dining area are located on the split level decking, and enjoy exciting views over the water hole and the animals drawn to drink. The lodge’s open design allows guests to feel a part of the natural surrounds. At the beginning of the season (May) canoeing, full day excursions to the Zambezi River and Chitake Spring visits can be pre-arranged (additional charge).
About Nyamatusi Camp
Located in the Nyamatusi Wilderness Concession, in the far east of Mana Pools National Park lies Nyamatusi Camp. It is set on the banks of one of the oldest rivers in the world, and offers guests an authentic safari, in a magnificent location. 6 spacious tented suites have uninterrupted views of the Zambezi River, in and outdoor showers, bath, private deck and a private plunge pool. The design of the camp incorporates the element of water. Central areas include a communal dining area, library, bar and a pool. Guests can spend their days walking in the footsteps of ancient explorers, escorted by highly qualified guides and following the tracks of elephants. Watch the drama of the wild play out before your eyes on game drives and canoeing safaris, and marvel at the wonders of this remote frontier, birding and fishing.
