After our visit to Table Mountain, we normally head down into the inner city to enjoy a coffee at Truth, rated by the New York Times as the best coffee shop in the world. For coffee lovers, this is not to be missed.
We will head around the base of Table Mountain to the southern side which is home to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and just downright gorgeous.
After our visit at Kirstenbosch we will head over to the Constantia Wine Valley, which is the oldest wine region in South Africa, known for its excellent white wines owing to the cool coastal air the tickles the vineyards in the hot summer months.
Lunch can be enjoyed at Constantia Glen Wine Estate, followed by a wine tasting at Eagles Nest which is very close by.
A lazy drive back to Cape Town via Constantia Nek and through fishing village of Hout Bay with see us through to the end of the day and back in time to catch the setting South African sun from Signal Hill.
